Patent Agent Job Description: The New York office of a large national law firm is looking for a patent agent with a Ph.D. in chemistry. Current Patent Bar membership, as well as previous law firm experience, is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include working with the firm’s clients and counsel in all aspects of the patent practice, including assisting in evaluating invention disclosures, drafting patent specifications and claims, preparing and prosecuting applications, and working on proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
